Identification:
Large white to purplish trumpet shaped flowers, unpleasant odor from
disturbed plants. The leaves are alternated large and unevenly toothed.
In the seedling the hypocotyl has a prethickened spindle-shaped base,
smooth often purple tinged. Cotyledon has a smooth upper surface.
Geographical Distribution: Found throughout United States with the exception of Upper Midwest states.
